The baby shower was fantastic! I really had a great time. Tonnes of sugary foods (which left me sugar binge-ing till today), great company, entertaining games and wonderful gifts! It was perfect. About 12 ppl turned up that afternoon and that was the most I ever had ppl in my house at one time. Luckily I had asked a friend to bring some stools and folding chairs.  Here are some photos and short captions from the party.

These are door gifts. They are pots for growing herbs. Each pot has herb seeds (either thyme, corriander or parsley)  and packed soil for my guests to plant. On the pot is a personalised stickers, which says: Emma's baby shower 24.10.2009 in pink or purple. I also included a 2010 date book or a pink nail filers (guests can choose which ones they want) and of course, a thank you card.

On another note, I desperately need a haircut! My hair is sooo limp and out of shape! Plus i need a style that would look better with my chubby face! And a more manageble hair especially when baby comes nanti. I want to ask ubie to cut it but not sure whether that is the best decision. He has cut my hair in the past but I'm trying a different look this time and not sure whether he can pull it off. I know its much safer to just go to the saloon but I'm trying to save some money lah.. Hair cut cost a lot here tauu.. Paling busuk pun 25quids -student rate tu.. Hmm..

Speaking of which, bila elaun KPT nak masuk ni? Oyis you punya elaun da masuk ka?? 

Currently I'm busy planning for my scotland winter trip. Pening kepala nak schedule time and cost. We're just going to be away for 3 nights so I'm quite selective with what we're going to do / visit. I remember planning for our Italy trip. Took us ages to figure out how to manage all the travelling plans. Penat! But I keep on reminding myself that its going to be all worth it in the end.

Next week is school half-term hols. So Diya takde school for a week. I'm already anticipating her questioning me why school is closed. I can tell that she enjoys being around friends her age and doing all sorts of activities and learning about stories, songs etc. I had my first parent-teacher meet yesterday with her teacher Mrs Murphy, and she was very positive with Diya's development albeit her starting school just less than a month ago. I too have to admit that she continues to surprise me everyday. Like yesterday in the car, she was telling me about Goldilocks and the three bears story. The whole story okei. I was so impressed!

For Halloween next week, Diya is dressing up as a witch. But she insists to be a Pink witch okei. Gedik tau anak makk nih.. So I found her a pink-black witch outfit already. Lets just hope it wont rain malam Halloween itu. :)

I cant believe that we are approaching November already. November is a bit crazy month for me. I have a hospital tour, 4 day workshop, an ultrasound, a parentcraft class and my bi-weekly check-up with the midwives, not to mentioned that I can deliver any day after the first week. Yikes!

Hari ini Diya made a muffin at school. Tapi gambar tak sempat ambil sebab Diya dah makan muffin ittew straight away after reaching home. But according to her this is the recipe:

Diya: Dont worry mom, I know the recipe. First we put flour in and then we put eggs. Then we mix it.

Yesterday we were on the phone with Mommy Anne and my mom talking about their visit next month.

Mama: Do you like your room Diya?
Diya: Yes, but when I sleep at night, then I wake up.. nobody is in my bed.
Mom: Don't worry Diya, when mama comes she will sleep with you okay?
Diya: Okay.
Mom: Mommy Anne and Mommy Kokko will also sleep in your room okay?
Diya: *sambil berfikir* But there is not enough space in my room.
Mom: LOL
Mommy Anne: Where will I sleep then?
Diya: Emm... Maybe on the sofa.

Next week is Halloween. I was thinking of going trick or treat with Diya. She's old enough to understand this holiday and has been pestering me to buy her a halloween costume. Hmm.. we'll see how la.

Oh BTW, she said that Abah is dressing up as a witch for Halloween. With a flying broom and a black cat. LOL.

I have to stop spending starting today. Well, at least till duit KPT masuk next week. I think I overspent my monthly allocation already. Tapi actually I byk beli barang baby sebab tu i went over budget. Takpe kan? Erk.

So, I am putting away my debit cards for now and hopefully we'll survive with all the food stock we have in the kitchen. If I berjaya, I can save another 50quids on top of my savings this month. Banyak tu. Yakin boleh.

Anyways, I'm planning to go to Edinburgh in December. Family trip with the whole family plus my mom and sisters.I hope we'll get to see the snow (yes, saya masih jakun dengan snow, harap maklum). The whole cost (accomodation of 2 rooms + sewa MPV + fuel + makan) for a 4 day trip is approx 650quids. Okey lah kan for 5 adults and 2 kids punya costs. Shopping money tu belakang kira. Or mungkin mommy boleh sponsor.. hihi.

So anyways, the baby shower will be held at my place next saturday. I cant wait! Oh, oleh krn ia akan diadakan dirumah sajor, i've settled for a very casual wear sajor. So maybe no maxi dress for me. Oh, did I tell you that my American friend is organising this (along with some others) so there will be decorations and baby shower games and everything! (you know, the american way of doing baby shower). Oh seronoknya!

guess what? I dont have to organise my own baby shower after all! My PhD friends will be throwing one for me! Yeayyy!

Suddenly i realised that i dont have anything to wear! *matilah alasan nak beli baju baru*. But seriously, I only have a handful of maternity wear which I parade daily and at this point I feel like nak muntah melihat baju-baju tersebut (walaupun sebenarnya baju tersebut masih baru dan cantik). Salahkah nak beli baju baru? After all, saya adalah tetamu hormat gittew kan? *matilah alasan lagi*

Maybe I should look around for UK punya maternity collection/style. Yelah, baju2 maternity saya semuanya beli kat malaysia. But I am so malas to go to the city. So I looked around online. I kinda want to buy a maxi dress (sebab i takde sehelai pun maternity maxi dress. Tapi sebenarnya teringin sebab suka tengok izy pakai maxi dress :p).
